Here you can relive the history of Rome with its gladiators, public demonstrations such as hunting reenactments and plays based on the classical mythology. Then walk through the Roman Forum along the Via Sacra while your guide will bring back nearly 3000 years of history to life. The Roman Forum was the center of the political, business and religious life of Rome over a thousand years, the throbbing heart of what was to become the largest political power the world had ever seen. A tourist’s travel to Rome is not complete without visiting the Vatican city, also known as the Holy City. It is considered to be the smallest independent state in the world, the home of Pope, and the center of Catholicism. There are plenty of good reasons to visit the Vatican, as this tiny city is full of attractions, points of interest, artworks, and history. Thousands of people come every year in the Vatican to admire the gorgeous Saint Peter’s basilica and square. This is, without doubt, one of the most beautiful cathedrals in the world.Sistine Chapel is an impressive artwork dated from 1473. This is the main location where Cardinals choose a new Pope. Michelangelo is the author of the famous frescoes that depict stories from the Old and the New Testament, and “the Last Judgement”. Even though you are not a religious person, you will be surely impressed by the breathtaking beauty of these frescoes. Discover Rome’s highlights and the most famous tourist sights. Even with only one day to explore, you’ll see the very best of the city and tick off Rome’s top spots from your bucket list. You will see the Spanish Steps, the famous Trevi Fountain, where you can throw in your coin to guarantee your return to Rome, the Pantheon, the best preserved temple of the Ancient City and Piazza Navona, built on the ruins of the Emperor Domitian’s stadium and now adorned by Bernini’s Fountain of the Four Rivers.

DAY 2

During the rapid ascent in the chair lift to the summit of the mountain, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the splendid views of the Gulf of Naples with Vesuvius in the background, the Gulf of Salerno, Anacapri, the Isle of Ischia and the incomparable beauty of the colour of the sea. Monte Solaro is the highest point on Capri. Monte Solaro offers the visitor all the scenic beauty of Capri, from the proud Faraglioni emerging from the sea to the majestic rugged coastline covered with over 850 species of striking, luxuriant vegetation. An excursion to Monte Solario is one not to be missed! The islanders call it ”a chiazz”, or piazza. On the maps , Capri’s most famous square is called Piazza Umberto I. For the rest of the world it’s the Piazzetta. One thing everybody agrees on, is that it’s the heart of the island where, sooner or later, all those visiting Capri come to watch the world go by. As their name suggests, these gardens were founded by Emperor Augustus. Rising in a series of flowered terraces, they lead to a lookout point offering breathtaking views over to the Faraglioni, a group of three limestone stacks rising out of the sea. From the gardens, pretty, hairpin Via Krupp winds down to Marina Piccola and past a bust of Vladimir Lenin overlooking the road from a nearby platform. The Russian revolutionary visited Capri in 1908, during which time he was famously snapped engaged in a game of chess with fellow revolutionary Alexander Bogdanov.

ROME
Rome, the Capital, Caput Mundi, the navel of the world, all roads lead to it... Piazza Venezia can be regarded as its central core, with the unmistakable Vittoriano. Behind it are Piazza del Campidoglio, designed by Michelangelo Buonarroti, and the Musei Capitolini (Capitoline Museums), the Church of Santa Maria in Aracoeli, the Fori Imperiali with the Colosseum, symbol of Rome, in the background, as well as the Arch of Constantine, just one more of the city's many well-known marvels. The Circus Maximus, the Pyramid of Caius Cestius, the Bocca della Verità (Mouth of Truth), and the Renaissance and Baroque palazzi are other elements that contribute to Rome's singularity in the world. Along Via del Corso, nestled in the streets on the right, are Fontana di Trevi and Piazza di Spagna (Spanish Steps), famous for its Trinità dei Monti stairway. Then, one arrives at the Pantheon, housing the tomb of the famous Raffaello Sanzio and the Churches of San Luigi dei Francesi, Santa Maria della Pace, and Santa Maria in Cosmedin. Finally, the Vatican City, the smallest country in the world and its magnificent Saint Peter's Basilica, embraced by Bernini's famous colonnade, are marvelous beauties that everyone visiting Rome should experience at least once. Rome underground is just as inspiring as that above: for instance the Catacombs of San Callisto on the Ancient Appian Way reveals enchanting surprises for art, history and archaeology enthusiasts - and for the merely curious. History buffs, romantic souls, and curious foodies are all united in their love of Rome. Want vibrant nightlife? You’ve got it. Staggering monuments? Sure. Unfathomable beauty? No problem. Do you still need to be convinced?
CAPRI
An island that offers a landscape of wild beauty sculpted by wind, sea and the hand of man, this is Capri. With a precipitous, jagged coast, and encircled by the famous faraglioni (sea stacks), enormous and uniquely-shaped boulders, and by numerous caves that tell of evocative plays of light. The most famous of these caves is the Grotta Azzurra (Blue Grotto), closely connected to the history of tourism in Capri. The island continues to be both a legend and a favorite destination for travelers, intellectuals and the international jet-set - "performing" at any given time in the legendary piazzetta, the real-time theatre of the island's 'Dolce Vita'.
